help needed with Connecting embosser to laptop

HI.
I need to connect my braille embosser to my laptop. I've connected it to my desktop PC in the past using an IEEE1284 controler as the embosser has a parallel port and the computer has only USB ports. I forgot how I did it though and I can't for the life of me figure out how.
The ieee1284 shows up in the device manager as an unspecified device.
The laptop is running Windows 10.
Eventually, I'm going to install Windows on my Mac but that'll be a while so I'd like to get this up and running ASAP because I'm giving my desktop to the kidlet and I need a way to emboss files.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nevermind. I finally googled the right combination of words and found what I needed. It's working perfectly.
